AIMS
Academic Journal of Manufacturing Engineering (ISSN1583-7904, Online ISSN 2601-3045) is an open access journal of related scientific research and technology development. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible.
SCOPE
The “Academic Journal of Manufacturing Engineering – AJME” (ISSN 1583-7904) was launched in 2003 as a representative journal of the university academic teaching staff that is involved in the Manufacturing Engineering domain in Romania (Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Timisoara) and Moldavian Republic, being managed and edited by the Manufacturing Engineering University Association (AUIF), represented by the editor: Prof.Dr.Eng. Petru Berce (Technical University of Cluj-Napoca). This publication is currently indexed in different international databases.
The journal is published in English exclusively with scientific reviewers and publishing committee comprising different scientific personalities from Romania and abroad. The journal is published quarterly, the papers proposed to be published and reviewed being sent by the authors directly to the editorial board or being selected from a large number of papers by the organizing committee and authors involved in different scientific events, such as international conferences, workshops, etc. Every paper is strictly reviewed by at least two members of the International Editorial Committee, being accepted for publication only high-level papers prepared in accordance with the requirements imposed by scientific standards.
The papers published in the AJME journal are prepared by Romanian authors and international researchers that are collaborating with research teams from the Romanian universities affiliated to AUIF. The papers submitted by Romanian authors usually present the main results obtained in the frame of PhD research activities that are undertaken within the main universities in Romania.
The scientific topics covered by the Academic Journal of Manufacturing Engineering are: Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, CAD/CAM, Concurrent Engineering, Rapid Prototyping, Rapid Tooling, Reverse Engineering, Knowledge Engineering, Virtual Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sheet Metal Forming, Composite Materials, CNC Machining, Optimization of the Manufacturing Processes, Product Design, Rapid Product Development, Finite Element Analysis, Simulations of the Manufacturing Processes, etc.
